Why use an Interior designer/ adviser?

Why you might want to use an interior designer

In this blog we look at why you might want to use an interior designer and some of the most frequently asked questions we tend to hear.

Choices, choices, choices ……

The decision to change something in your home can be a daunting one. Whether you’re thinking of completely redecorating your whole house or want to add a splash of colour here or there we can help.  Maybe you also find yourself lacking inspiration or worried that a potential idea you have may not work and you may need to redo the project?

We spend our time working with fabrics, textures and styles, it’s what we do. The choice of fabrics, paint colours, wallpaper and carpets is so extensive you could literally spend days trawling through our swatches and end up more confused than when you started.

This is where we step in to help. We have extensive knowledge of all our products and are here to help you find what you are looking for. If you have an idea we can help bring that to life. If you have no idea then we will come up with some for you. Everybody has likes and dislikes and it’s our job to help bring all your likes together in a way that works both aesthetically and practically. We are here to listen, advise and guide. From an initial chat to putting a whole scheme together we are here to help.

Benefit from years of experience.

We have tens of years of experience of successful interior design experience. We are passionate about interior design so are always keeping up-to-date with the latest trends or techniques. Also our suppliers regularly update us on new designs or styles that you may not find out about in other ways.

Here are some answers to questions you may have – all answers of course apply to Rapport Interiors so if you choose to use another designer, the same may not apply;

How much will it cost to use you?

We don’t charge for our service as long as you purchase your goods from us. We can just put a scheme together at a cost depending on the size of the project.

Will I lose control of my project?

Absolutely not. We listen and collaborate closely with you, we don’t force our ideas on you. This is your project and ultimately you must be happy with the finished project.

Can you do all the fitting as well as all the making up?

Yes we have a great team of curtain, carpet and hard flooring fitters we have been working with for many years.

Do I have to make decisions on everything now?

No, you can dictate the pace of the project. If you wanted to just get the new curtains up and live with them before making a choice on the carpet colour then that’s fine. We have it all under the one roof so decisions can be made in stages or all at once.

I don’t really need an Interior designer as I have a good idea of what I want but need help finding it, can you do that?

Absolutely. It’s what we do every day. If we don’t have it in the showroom we can no doubt find it for you.
