Our team has a wealth of experience in all aspects of interior design and furnishings. Design advisors, seamstresses, upholsterers, curtain and carpet fitters, with have worked closely with them all for many years, to provide a complete design service.
Combine this with the personal and professional service you’d expect from a traditional local business and you have Rapport Interiors.
Mark Evans has been upholstering furniture in Gloucestershire for over 20 years. He started at Taylors Upholstery where he learnt traditional and modern upholstery methods as well as how to run a busy workshop.
After ten years he took the plunge and started out on his own. Within two years he had established a wide and varied customer base from interior designers, to high end antique dealers, to ‘Mr & Mrs Blogs’ not just upholstering furniture, but selling a wide range of fabric as well. His interest soon spread further into interiors and having worked with Rapport Interiors for a number of years he took over the business from Steve and Paul Meredith, who both retired to warmer climes. Rapport Interiors is a business built on the same principles of quality, service and value for money that Mark has adhered to.
The reputation of Rapport speaks for itself, with the company serving the same customers for over 30 years. He has continued to develop the business and showroom and also expand his knowledge of carpets, curtains and blinds.
Mark has a wife and two children and enjoys rugby coaching as well as watching, swimming and cycling, as well as socialising.
After completing a degree in Fine Art, Laura went on to train under the paint effects ‘guru’ Jocasta Innes as a Specialist Decorative Painter. Learning all these techniques and working with different paint products developed Laura’s love for colour, texture and interior design.
After a year working in Adelaide as a mosaic artist and travelling in Australia and South East Asia, she returned to set up her own decorating business in Cheltenham, specialising in furniture painting & wallpapering to a high standard. Laura has a keen eye for colour and detail which has developed into a love for fabrics & soft furnishings.
